Duncan wrote and acted in plays. He knew and acted with WS Penley (below centre), a fellow Mason. Charley’s Aunt, by Brandon Thomas, was very successful with Penley appearing as the principal role. It transferred to the Globe in 1893, where Duncan joined the Company.
Duncan’s last known appearance was in 1913, in The Pearl Girl, at the Shaftesbury Theatre.
